Antique Diamond and Sapphire Shield Ring/Edwardian 14K Gold and Silver Dinner Ring

Antique shield ring, made with 34 diamonds (total approx. 0.3ct) and 15 sapphires (total approx. 0.25ct), set in silver to enhance the sparkle. The band made of 14K yellow gold. This ring dates to around the 1910s, in a time where the stark geometry of the art deco period slowly started to emerge, though still showcasing the softness of art nouveau. The arrangement of the diamonds and deep blue sapphires is also reminiscent of the evil eye symbol.
